Paralympic gold medalist Paul Rosen will share his courageous life literacy journey
as part of announcement
(Toronto, ON – August 12, 2011) – Paralymic gold medalist Paul Rosen will officially be announced as ABC Life Literacy Canada’s newest Life Literacy Ambassador. After facing literacy challenges himself, Paul now wants to support the literacy cause and help the nine million Canadian adults that suffer with low literacy.
On Tuesday, August 16 at 2 p.m., Paul will tell his story and share his literacy journey. At the age of 50, Paul recently admitted he struggled with reading after decades of hiding it from his teammates, friends and family. He decided to seek help, and has gone from a grade two reading level to a university level. Out of all of his achievements in sports, this is his biggest accomplishment.
