CANADA’S NATIONAL SLEDGE TEAM FINISHES FOURTH AT 2010 PARALYMPIC WINTER GAMES

VANCOUVER, B.C. – Canada’s National Sledge Team has finished fourth at the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games, following a 2-1 loss to Norway on Friday night at UBC.

After two scoreless periods, Adam Dixon (Midland, Ont.) scored at 2:45 of the third period. Rolf Einar Pedersen scored for Norway on a penalty shot to tie the game.  Eskil Hagen scored with less than four seconds to play in the third period to give Norway the victory.

Canada’s National Sledge Team will head to Whistler on Sunday, March 20, for the closing ceremony of the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games, which can be seen live on CTV and RDS at 7 p.m. PT/10 p.m. ET.
