2010 Athletes to be Honoured by the Government of Canada

Over 150 Athletes to be Received in the House of Commons Just weeks after the close of the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Vancouver, the Government of Canada will be honouring Canada's 2010 Olympians and Paralympians with a Tribute in the House of Commons on Thursday, April 22nd, 2010.

Canadian Paralympic Committee and BC Egg Marketing Board EGGS Program concludes educational outreach on Salt Spring Island, British Columbia

Vancouver, B.C. (April 15, 2010) – The Eggs Go for Gold School (EGGS) Program concluded its tour today with BC Paralympian Andrea Holmes sharing a breakfast, made with eggs donated from a local egg farmer, with over 180 students from Salt Spring Elementary and Gulf Island Secondary on Salt Spring Island. Yesterday, Andrea dined with students from Georgia Avenue Community School and John Barsby Secondary in Nanaimo.

Canadian Shopping Centres raise over $85,000, all proceeds to benefit Canada’s Paralympic winter athletes

Vancouver, B.C. (April 13, 2010) – The Canadian Paralympic Committee (CPC) and Bentall LP announced today that their national Hands Up Canada campaign was a huge success, with fundraising and awareness of Canadian Paralympic Winter Athletes surpassing initial expectations.

Call for Applications- Chef de Mission & Assistant Chef de Mission, 2012 Paralympic Summer Games, London

The Canadian Paralympic Committee (CPC) invites applications for the position of Chef de Mission and Assistant Chef de Mission for the 2012 Paralympic Summer Games in London (England), August 29th-September 9th. These are both volunteer positions with responsibilities commencing in May 2010, and continuing through October 2012.
