Canadian Paralympian Patrick Jarvis to serve a second term as a Governing Board member for the International Paralympic Committee

Vancouver, B.C. (Nov. 24, 2009) – The Canadian Paralympic Committee (CPC) would like to congratulate Paralympian Patrick Jarvis on his re-election to the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Governing Board. The votes were cast last week at the 2009 General Assembly of the IPC, the global governing board of the Paralympic Movement. Mr Jarvis will serve as member-at-large for a four-year term.

Canadian Paralympic Committee Congratulates Toronto and the Greater Golden Horseshoe on Winning the 2015 Pan American and Parapan American Games

VANCOUVER (November 6, 2009) – The Canadian Paralympic Committee (CPC) would like to congratulate the city of Toronto and the extraordinary team of Canadians who put forward the winning 2015 Pan American and Parapan American Games bid. Toronto was chosen as the host city for the 2015 Games by the Pan American Sports Organization (PASO) today, over competing cities Bogota, Colombia and Lima, Peru.

VANCOUVER (November 2, 2009) – With five months to go until the opening of the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games, and on the occasion of Paralympic School Week, the Canadian Paralympic Committee (CPC) is encouraging teachers and students across the country to show their support for Paralympic Team Canada.
