Earle Connor believes that every day of training is worthwhile if he can inspire at least one person. He has a tattoo on his right foot that reads, “Silver Hurts.”
At his first Paralympic Games in Sydney, he won a gold medal and set a world record in the 100m. His goal in Beijing is to repeat history and once again go for the gold.
At the Caltaf Track Classic and Alberta Championships in 2008 in Calgary, AB, he beat his own personal record in the 100m when he finished first with a time of 12.18.
He has been competing with the national team since 1998.
His other interests include football and hockey.
