CPC Athlete Career Programme

Web Mast Adecco ENG

In 2011, The Canadian Paralympic Committee joined with Adecco to create the CPC Athlete Career Programme to support Canada’s Paralympic athletes with employment opportunities using a two-track approach: Career Development and Job Placement. It has been designed to meet the needs of athletes both during competition and as they start their transition from sport.

Career development
Adecco Canada, together with the CPC, has created a customized programme for athletes in the following areas: defining career goals, creating a CV/résumé, enhancing interview technique and developing networking skills.

Job placement
The employment needs of athletes vary at different stages of their lives. During competition, many look for part-time work, enabling them to combine sport with secure income. At the end of their sporting careers, they need to take the important step of entering the labour market and looking for full-time employment. That is where Adecco's expertise and network comes in, making the right match and bringing employers and athletes together.
