Ottawa, ON (March 17, 2011) – On March 21st, the Canadian Paralympic Committee (CPC) will announce the recipients of its 2011 Para-Equipment fund on the one year anniversary of the Vancouver 2010 Paralympic Winter Games closing ceremonies.
To celebrate the anniversary of the Games and acknowledge the strong government support for the Paralympic movement in Canada, the Minister of State for Sport, the Honourable Gary Lunn, will present some of the first pieces of equipment to be distributed in 2011 through the CPC’s Para-Equipment Fund (PEF).
The PEF delivers equipment grants to provincial and local level clubs, providing opportunities for individuals with disabilities to participate in sport and potentially become a part of the next generation of Paralympic medalists.
