Jerseys unveiled for both the Mountain Bike and Para-cycling World Championships
(Ottawa, ON – August 11, 2010) The Canadian Cycling Association (CCA), in collaboration with Louis Garneau Inc, is proud to unveil the Canadian uniforms for the 2010 Mountain Bike and Trials World Championships and the 2010 Para-cycling World Championships.
The jerseys have been designed by the experienced crew at Louis Garneau. Both jerseys will have a similar look, with few minor exceptions in logo placements. The custom-made jerseys are dynamic, edgy and showcase the Canadian Maple Leaf as the centre piece, both on the front and back. Red, White and Black are the primary colors.
“Louis Garneau has done a great job once again with the jerseys. The colors are really nice. There is a lot of black, which highlights the Red and White. We know the materials used will be of the highest performance level as usual with Louis Garneau. I am very impressed with the design, which is very classy,” said Matthieu Parent, a rider of the Canadian Para-cycling team who will be competing for Canada at the 2010 Para-cycling championships in Baie-Comeau, QC.
“We are really proud of outfitting the Canadian cycling team for these major cycling events. Our partnership with the Canadian cycling team goes beyond dollar signs as we share the same passion of winning, of being the best and pursuing international success”, said Louis Garneau, Founder and President of Louis Garneau Inc.
“Louis Garneau and his team have done an outstanding job as designing and producing the Jerseys in which our athletes will push for international excellence in the weeks to come. In addition to wearing performance clothing, the Canadian team will look good in front of home crowds both in Baie-Comeau and Mont-Sainte Anne,” said Jacques Landry, Chief Technical Officer at the Canadian Cycling Association.
In addition to providing the uniforms for the CCA, Louis Garneau recently announced a partnership as the official supplier for the 2010 UCI Mountain Bike and Trials World Championships, where they will unveil their new 2011 collection.
Louis Garneau has been a loyal sponsor of the Canadian Cycling Association for over 25 years, and has designed Canadian team uniforms throughout their partnerships. The jerseys, amongst other National team product, will be on sale during the event and on www.louisgarneau.com.
The 2010 UCI Para-Cycling World Championships will be held in Baie-Comeau, QC from August 18-22, 2010. Canada’s top 22 cyclists will be competing at the most important event on the Para-cycling calendar this season. http://championnatsdumondebaiecomeau.com
