Canadian Paralympic Committee to announce the 2008 Canadian Paralympic Team in Vancouver

VANCOUVER (July 3, 2008) – 

WHAT: The Canadian Paralympic Committee will unveil the Canadian Team heading to the Beijing Paralympic Games, running September 6-17, 2008, in China. Paralympic team members Shauna Maria Whyte, a 2010 skiing hopeful who makes her debut in the summer sport of handcycling, and Richard Peter, a wheelchair basketball star, will speak. All other Paralympic athletes present will answer questions from the floor, and be available for one-on-one interviews.

 

WHEN: Tuesday, July 8, 2008, from 10 a.m.

WHERE: Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Chinese Gardens (Hall of One Hundred Rivers), 578 Carrall St., Vancouver, BC
                Media can enter the Hall through the double-door entrance off Carall Street.
