Ottawa, April 5, 2011 – The Canadian Paralympic Committee (CPC) has launched an exciting Alumni Program contest on Facebook with the chance to win an iPad 2!
The CPC’s Alumni Program brings together both active and retired Paralympians – including guides, pilots, and sport assistants – to share and celebrate their sporting experiences and accomplishments.
By (re)connecting Paralympians with one another, we’re creating a network that spans and supports athletes across all sports and generations. The Alumni Program will encourage more Paralympians to maintain a lifelong involvement with the Paralympic movement in Canada.
Some plans for the Alumni Program include:
- Canadian Paralympic Alumni newsletters
- An Alumni-driven web portal
- Exclusive Alumni promotions
- Career counselling sessions
- Networking opportunities with the CPC and fellow Paralympians

The draw will be held May 1, 2011 when the lucky winner will be able to take the new web portal for a test drive on their very own iPad 2!
