Gaetan TardifDr. Gaétan Tardif is Vice President Quality, Patient Care and Chief Medical Officer at the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute. He is also a Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto. He completed his medical degree at l'Université Laval and holds diplomas in Sports Medicine and Electrodiagnostic Medicine.

Gaétan, who was born in Saguenay, Québec, was a member of the medical team for the Sydney and Athens Paralympic Games, as well as Chief Medical Officer for the Salt Lake City and Torino Paralympic Games. He served as Assistant Chef de Mission for the Beijing 2008 and Vancouver 2010 Paralympic Games. In August 2010, Gaétan was named Chef de mission for the London 2012 Paralympic Games. Gaétan is also Director of Administration on the Canadian Paralympic Committee Board of Directors.

Gaétan is very involved in leadership development and is on Faculty at the Physician Manager Institute of the Canadian Medical Association.  He became President of the Canadian Society of Physician Executives in 2009. He is also a Fellow of the Canadian College of Health Services Executives.
